Minimally Invasive Fertility Surgery at Palm Beach Fertility Center

Safely Performing Procedures for Florida Residents

At Palm Beach Fertility Center, Dr. Mark Denker realizes how personal fertility is and how your treatment plan must be created solely for you. He offers the latest techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. After you have undergone a complete and thorough evaluation, Dr. Denker may determine that fertility surgery is the best option to help you conceive.

Using Surgery to Improve Fertility

With minimally invasive procedures like advanced laparoscopic laser surgery and robotic surgery, our patients experience less discomfort and faster recovery times. In some cases, physical abnormalities, blockages and scarring can make getting pregnant difficult. Dr. Denker may suggest surgery to address the issue and improve the odds of conception, but surgery is never the first option.

  • Common conditions that can be treated with fertility surgery include:
  • Endometriosis
  • Ovarian cysts
  • Pelvic adhesions
  • Tubal and uterine abnormalities
  • Tubal reversal surgery (tubal re-anastomosis)
  • Uterine polyps
  • Uterine septums
  • Uterine fibroids (myomectomy)

How Does Fertility Surgery Work?

It is important to understand your options as well as what to expect before you undergo any surgery. If you need surgery on the uterus, fallopian tubes, and/or ovaries, Dr. Denke will provide the best chance of preserving future fertility. An expert in minimally invasive fertility surgery, he utilizes both laparoscopic techniques and the da Vinci robot-assisted surgical system. Hysteroscopic procedures can also be performed whenever necessary.

Palm Beach Fertility Center Laparoscopic & Hysterscopic Surgery

With a laparoscopic procedure, Dr. Denker creates several small holes in the skin that allow for a camera to provide internal visibility and room for surgical instruments if needed. For hysteroscopic surgery, he can go through the vagina into the cervix to reach the uterus.

Both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic offer advantages to traditional surgery such as less risk, minimal discomfort, and little scarring. Recovery times are usually better as well. Dr. Denker can perform cervical, vaginal, and most uterine repairs.
