Palm Beach Fertility Center’s Laboratory Director Dr. Hisham Greiss

Dr. Greiss, an international fertility specialist, has held many prestigious positions including an embryology and andrology supervisory position at the Center of Human Reproduction in Chicago, Illinois and also the senior embryologist at the Center for Human Reproduction in Sofia, Bulgaria. Dr. Greiss has more than 50 peer reviewed articles published in 10 countries, he has professionally served over 25 countries. Dr. Griess is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the American College for Reproductive Biology (CRB).

Before joining Palm Beach Fertility Center, Dr. Greiss was the Lab Director at the Midwest Fertility Center in Chicago suburbs, Illinois. Dr. Greiss received his M.D. from Cairo University Medical College and his Ph.D. in genetic selection from the Bulgarian Academy. He was awarded an Honoree Professorship in the Ukrainian Academy. He is certified as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) and Clinical Consultant (CC) from the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). Dr. Greiss is also a Board Certified Tissue Bank Specialist by the American Association of Tissue Bankers (AATB). Dr. Hisham Greiss is an expert in micromanipulation and extended sequential embryo culture. Many women have maintained pregnancy and the “take home” baby rates are much higher than the national average. Dr. Greiss explains,” I am happy to be able to use my knowledge and expertise to help create a loving family for those who have lost hope”.

Under Dr. Greiss’s direction, Palm Beach Fertility Center's laboratory upholds the highest standards for IVF techniques. The laboratory carries certification of the Joint Commission for Accredidation of Health Care Organizations - the same certification carried by the most prestigious hospitals in the country.

Our IVF program is a SART Member clinic and complies with all SART guidelines. Additional certifications include CLIA and HCFA.

Our state-of-the-art laboratory operates under the strictest standards and is staffed by highly qualified technicians. The lab environment is maintained as a "clean room" with filtered, purified air and separate heating/cooling and ventilation from the rest of our facilities. Embryologists wear full scrubs and protective clothing at all times. Our equipment is on the leading edge of today's technology, including the latest microscopes, micromanipulators, and incubation systems. All materials are clearly and carefully labeled to ensure that there is no chance of a mistake, contamination or security breach. All of these precautions are taken to ensure that our patients' embryos may develop in the cleanest, most nurturing environment possible.
