What is Embryo Cryopreservation?

Embryo cryopreservation is the process of freezing and storing embryos created during an IVF cycle for future use. At Palm Beach Fertility Center in Boca Raton and Aventura, we use vitrification—an ultra-rapid freezing technique that prevents ice crystal formation and maximizes embryo survival rates.

Frozen embryos can be stored indefinitely and thawed when you're ready for another pregnancy attempt. This allows patients to preserve their fertility timeline, plan multiple children from a single IVF cycle, or delay family building for personal or medical reasons.

With modern vitrification, embryo survival rates after thawing are excellent, and pregnancy success rates are comparable to fresh embryo transfers.
