How it works: After egg retrieval, eggs and sperm are placed together in a small INVOcell device, which is then inserted into the vagina where it stays for 5 days. Your body provides the natural incubation environment for fertilization and early development. After 5 days, the device is removed, embryos are evaluated, and the best embryo is transferred to your uterus.
INVOcell costs significantly less than traditional IVF, requires fewer medications, and allows you to be intimately involved in your embryo's earliest development. Success rates are comparable to conventional IVF for appropriately selected patients.

You'll take fertility medications to stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple eggs, though typically lower doses than conventional IVF. Monitoring appointments track follicle development through ultrasound and bloodwork.
When eggs are mature, Dr. Denker performs a minor surgical procedure to retrieve them. This is done under light sedation in our office and takes about 20-30 minutes.
Retrieved eggs and sperm are placed together in the small INVOcell device. The device is then inserted into your vagina, similar to a diaphragm or menstrual cup, where it stays for 5 days.
Over the next 5 days, your body provides the natural incubation environment for fertilization and early embryo development. During this time, you can continue most normal activities.
After 5 days, the INVOcell device is removed in the office. Our embryologists evaluate the embryos, and the best-quality embryo is transferred to your uterus in a simple, painless procedure.
About 10-14 days after transfer, you'll return for a blood test to determine if pregnancy has been achieved.
