What is HyFoSy?
HyFoSy (Hysterosalpingo-Foam Sonography) provides detailed information about tubal patency and structure using a painless ultrasound-guided foam sonography procedure. It offers same-day results and helps assess fertility efficiently.
Unlike traditional HSG (hysterosalpingography) which uses X-rays and iodine contrast dye, HyFoSy uses a special foam visible on ultrasound to evaluate whether your fallopian tubes are open and functioning properly. This modern approach is gentler, requires no radiation exposure, and provides excellent visualization of tubal anatomy.
The procedure is performed in our office, takes about 10-15 minutes, and most patients experience only minimal cramping. You'll receive immediate results during your visit, allowing us to move forward with your fertility treatment plan without delay.
