In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in Boca Raton & Aventura
A comprehensive guide to understanding the IVF process and what to expect at Palm Beach Fertility Center

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the most effective assisted reproductive technologies available today. The process involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries, fertilizing them with sperm in our advanced laboratory, and transferring the resulting embryo(s) into the uterus.
IVF has helped millions of individuals and couples worldwide achieve their dream of parenthood. At Palm Beach Fertility Center, our experienced team combines cutting-edge technology with compassionate, personalized care to maximize your chances of success.
The IVF Process: Step by Step
Understanding each phase of your IVF journey helps you feel prepared and confident. Here's what to expect during your treatment cycle with us.
Ovarian Stimulation
Using carefully monitored hormone medications to stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs. This typically takes 8-14 days and involves self-administered injections. Our team provides thorough training and ongoing support throughout this phase.
Monitoring & Egg Retrieval
Regular ultrasounds and blood tests track follicle development. When eggs are mature, a minor outpatient procedure retrieves them under light sedation. The 20-30 minute procedure is performed by Dr. Denker in our state-of-the-art surgical suite.
Fertilization in the Lab
Retrieved eggs are immediately brought to our on-site embryology lab where they're combined with sperm. We use conventional IVF or ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) depending on your specific case, maximizing fertilization success.
Embryo Development & Selection
Embryos are cultured in our advanced incubation systems for 5-6 days to reach blastocyst stage. Our embryologists monitor development daily. Optional genetic testing (PGT) can identify the healthiest embryos for transfer.
Embryo Transfer
The best-quality embryo(s) are gently placed into your uterus using a thin, flexible catheter—a quick, painless procedure requiring no anesthesia. You'll rest briefly, then resume normal activities. Any remaining quality embryos can be frozen for future use.
Pregnancy Testing & Follow-Up
About 10-14 days after transfer, a blood test measures pregnancy hormone levels. If positive, we'll schedule early ultrasounds to monitor progress before transitioning you to prenatal care. Our team supports you throughout early pregnancy.
