Lesbian IUI in Boca Raton & Aventura

Offering Parenting Options to Help Grow Your Family

Are you and your partner interested in having a child? While many couples want to create or expand their families, same-sex couples face another set of challenges. Our team at Palm Beach Fertility Center understands what hopeful lesbian parents face, and we are here to help you explore viable options for having children. One of the most successful procedures we have used for lesbian couples is intrauterine insemination (IUI).

Finding the Path to Parenthood

Becoming a parent is something many women wish to experience. Dr. Denker will work with you and your partner to explain the process and help you achieve the goal of having a child.

To achieve pregnancy, Dr. Denker may recommend:

In either case, Dr. Denker would use donor sperm and combine it with the egg, either through artificial insemination or in the laboratory, as part of an IVF cycle. We understand that the processes for becoming pregnant through these methods can seem confusing, and we are here to explain every step of the way.

Family Planning Steps

As you embark on this exciting journey, part of the process involves deciding which partner will carry your child. One element of this decision may include a complete fertility evaluation for both partners. Dr. Denker will measure hormone levels, perform a physical exam, and ask questions to evaluate any potential hindrances to pregnancy. Together, you and your partner can discuss the results with Dr. Denker and make an informed decision about the method of inception, who will carry the baby, and move forward with fertility treatment.

You will also need to choose a sperm donor before you can begin the IUI procedure. This is a very personal choice, which you and your partner will need to make together. At Palm Beach Fertility Center, we work with many different reputable agencies to provide you with a variety of potential donors.

Understanding the IUI Process

Once you and your partner have decided to pursue IUI, Dr. Denker will begin the preparation for the procedure. He will prescribe medication to either you or your partner, whichever you have chosen to carry the baby. This fertility medication is used to control the ovulation process. We will then monitor you via ultrasound, and a thin catheter will be inserted through the cervix into the uterus. This is where the sperm will be placed near the egg, and in some cases, a second insemination will be done 24 to 48 hours later.

We genuinely care about your comfort and want to make you feel cared for and understood throughout the entire process. You can trust that we are here to answer your questions and any concerns which may arise.
